Description

The Los Angeles Board of Public Works approved entering into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Department of Water and Power to fund and administer a citywide municipal tree planting program. LADWP will provide up to $10,594,045.92 from fiscal years 2026–28 for tree planting, outreach, monitoring, and program assessment to quantify energy savings and greenhouse gas reductions. The initial term runs through June 30, 2027, with up to two one-year extension options at LADWP’s discretion.
