The Village of Salmo is considering authorizing the Regional District of Central Kootenay to manage UBCM Community Resiliency Investment grant funds and deliver FireSmart-related services on the Village’s behalf, including updating the Community Wildfire Resiliency Plan. Funding received under the program would be transferred to the RDCK for services delivered in Salmo.
