The Council approved a training memorandum of understanding with Vanderbilt University Public Safety, enabling Vanderbilt officers to attend MNPD’s academy for Tennessee POST certification over an initial two‑year term. Vanderbilt will cover salaries, benefits, and insurance for its personnel and indemnify Metro for most training‑related risks.
